Digital Access-Ann and Emily's project- I love the idea of Bring Your Own Device- our principal is new to the High school this year, and put BYOD into effect. Students love being able to take class notes, or pictures on their phones of the materials covered in class. I also believe that this is a great way for students to have access to all class material- ex: One of the students on my case load has difficulty with note taking- we now allow him to receive a digital copy of the class notes, and he is allowed to take a picture of the homework that is on the board so that he remembers to complete it- he even sets an alarm on his phone to remind him. Working in the Manchester district I also see many families that do not have access to the internet as they can't afford it. I was shocked by the statistic that incomes of 75K are 20x more likely to have the internet at home.
